Rascal Charters was established in 1989 by the late founder, Kevin M. Hogan who successfully built the business through almost three decades. The Rascal is a 43ft. Bertram Sportfisher powered by brand new twin Caterpillar 500HP inboard diesel engines with a cruising speed of approx. 29 knots. These engines are quiet while being EPA Tier 3 compliant with clean exhaust for a more safe and enjoyable ride.
We target 4 types of game fish here in Maui: Marlin (including Pacific Blue), Ahi (yellowfin tuna), Ono (wahoo), and Mahi-Mahi (aka dolphin or dorado). Through almost three decades, Kevin successfully built the business as an owner / operator and became a highly respected member of the fishing community.
