It's a super convenient no nonsense quick affordable eatery in an otherwise super pricey area.
Wide open hours. Decent selection of beers and root beers. Pizzas by the slice for that late night craving or when you are almost wasted. Haha
Nice music to help you relax after a busy touristy day. And a friendly casual atmosphere.

LOVED this place! Very friendly staff! We entered the place and right away were greeted with recommendations on what we should try. We were originally going for a chefs special pizza, but were convinced to spice it up and loved the pizza that the staff made for us. I would recommend going in and letting the chefs handle the pizza they definitely know what they are doing!! Favorite place to go for something spontaneous!

I've heard this place is good, but it was a disappointing experience. I sat for an hour after ordering two pizzas to find they weren't put in. I checked in with the cashier after waiting 45 min and was promptly forgot about. I had to approach her a second time up to hear my order wasn't put in. No apology or attempt to make things right. I won't be going back.

I have never written a bad review before but after waiting an hour for a slice of pizza (that should have been handed to me when I ordered since it was sitting in the to-go slices) and a side salad. The lady (Eric?) taking our order threw a fit when I checked on my slice after 30 minutes, rolling her eyes and making a rude remark under her breath. Then cried when a man asked for a cup of water. She caused a whole scene that mad everyone uncomfortable in the restaurant. She was unkind to everyone and clearly was seeking attention. I have worked in restaurants and understand being overwhelmed...

Should've read the reviews before ordering had I known my pizza was also going to be sitting out for a while with no alert that it was already ready.
Also, I really hope that the girl working at the register tonight wearing a pink shirt was not sick as she was coughing up a storm asking someone for cough drops. We are in a pandemic.

No care for customer service. My pizza was made and sat in the window for a hour before I could flag down an employee to check on the pizza. Nobody seems to have a clue of what is going on. Reminds me of a bunch of chickens running from work. JUST DO YOUR JOB! The pizza seems good but the bottom was so hard I had to eat the toppings and that's it. Will NEVER return. To many great pizza spots Downtown to repeat this mistake.

Uncle Joe's pizza is lip smacking good! My husband and I ventured here two separate occasions, during our stay in Anchorage, and it certainly hits the spot! We got our grub on, had a couple of pints each, and went on our merry way! We each had bellies full of pizza and beer, what more could you ask for?! I got a house salad with all the fixins and we split a chefs special pizza, both times in fact.

Hesitantly, I ordered Uncle Joe's for dinner tonight, to be delivered to my office. We've previously had some big issues with their staff; but it seems like they've made leaps and bounds from my previous feedback. The employee who answered the phone today is the same who delivered. He was incredibly friendly; and just as important, he was on time with my complete order. They've really redeemed themselves and I will be ordering again! Good job Uncle Joe's! See y'all again soon!

My family and I split the Street Dog Pizza. It was great! We loved the banana peppers, caramelized onions, thousand island dressing, and of course the reindeer sausage. Who would've thought that the combo worked!
The guys here are such hard workers and the owner even greeted us himself. There was minor confusion when they delivered our order out to our table, but they were super busy for dinner and it's totally understandable.
PS. Their small-sized Greek salad was definitely a shareable portion.

This place was wonderful and very "comfortable." All of the servers were jovial, and the open kitchen format is nice because we got to talk to some of the chefs in the back! The people working here were super kind and my friend and I had a fun experience even just waiting for our takeout pizza. Whether you get takeout or dine in, the pizza is made quickly and is fresh so it tasted great! Great dough, perfect amount of cheese/salt & fun combinations!

Continuing our quest to review every pizza place in town we decided to order out some Uncle Joe's. The pizza was pretty good and the toppings were fresh. The people in the restaurant were very polite and were rolling pizzas out quickly and proficiently. We ordered a regular Joe's, a taco pizza and a wild Bill- along with some wings and cheese bread. They do not skimp on cheese which is always a plus for a pizza place- if you're going to skip the cheese just open a sub shop instead. The wings had a different flavor to them, almost a tangy sweetness with the spice. It went over well

Flew in late and wanted something carry out. This did not disappoint. We have not found good pizza in Alaska and we finally found it. In our opinion this is way better than moose's tooth and better priced. Definitely a more authentic NY style pie. The crust was to die for, the sprouted grain wheat was awesome.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Uncle Joe's pizza SMACKS. My first solid food as a baby was pizza from Philly, so I promise you, my standards are very high... I have gotten into many arguements regarding how high my pizza standards are that have almost lead to bloodshed.

Great single slice pizza joint, very odd workers who said some odd things BUT the pizza was great (lots of value) and easy to walk with. They had a pizza wheel were you could pick a slice out, and you are off! Dark inside, and small but it gets the job done. If I were out and about I would be back!!!

Great pizza by the slice down town in Anchorage. These guys have awesome pizza and calzones and beers. Get a slice and a soda or a slice and a beer. Very reasonable price. I have been here a number of times. Inside dining, outside tables (if the weather is nice) to go orders, the whole bit
They have good crust. Just the right blend of crunchy and chewy that I like to see in pizza crust.
It's worth a mention, I have been adding this to all my reviews lately, for what its worth to you. These guys are masked up and keeping clean. They are doing a good job trying to keep staff and customers

I came back after a long hiatus to this restaurant to try their slice pizza again. This time I got their special (which is a slice and a drink and a salad) And, you know what? The pizza was so much better this time because it had not sat for a long time before it was served to me. It was crispy, tasty, just the right amount of cheese and spice to the sauce.
Overall a much better experience over the last time I was here, so now I can comfortably and happily recommend it!
