Saverio was born in Naples Italy. He moved to Scranton Pennsylvania when he was 20 years old. There he learned how to make East Coast pizza. It was too cold for him in Scranton and an opportunity came up for him to move to San Antonio. There he started to show the company he worked for the love he had making pizza as well as some of his personal specialty's.
In San Antonio, he met his wife Maria Elena and who would have ever thought she was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Maria knew how good Saverio's food was and she saw opportunity for them to open a restaurant in Alaska. Because they now had a family and all of Maria's family was in Anchorage he took the chance even though he didn't like the cold.

For me, this is one of the bests pizzas here in Anchorage that I've tried. The consistency of the cheese, the amount and flavor of the sauce, is just perfect. The crust was super yummy, tender, but just enough chew to hold up well. Outstanding dough recipe. Their sauce was not too spicy but tasty and clearly homemade. Not to mention they serve slices if you need a quick bite. I would come back to order and try the others.

The staff are always friendly and polite. Today I had a slice of pepperoni and it's was delicious, the undercarriage was crisp just like I like it and the crust was great and had that crunch when you took a bite. The only thing I can say that I didn't like was the grease that was on top of the pizza. I had to use a few napkins to soak it up. I would definitely recommend this place and I myself will come back again.

The best pizza around! So many options and they are all delicious (I’ve been working my way through the menu and have almost tried every single one!). Wonderful staff as well, having a meal here feels like dining with family. If you want legit, authentic Italian pizza, with homemade mozzarella and ricotta, this is the place to go! Highly, highly recommend

I'm always on the hunt for some good unique pizza in Anchorage.
I'm not a huge fan of everyone's "favorite" so the hunt continues.
I was excited to try Saverio's and it did not disappoint.
For clarification I ordered for delivery so I have not been inside the restaurant but know where it is and live the location.
First off I love the simplicity of the menu, not to many items which to me is a sight that a restaurant is focusing on the quality of the items they do have and I like that!

YESSS. Favorite take out pizza spot in Anchorage. Decided to try this spot on a whim after smelling the delicious smells of garlic as I left la bodega. I ordered the casino pizza and a meatball pizza plus garlic knots and my household will not go back to another take out pizza place again. Not to mention they serve slices if you need a quick bite. Quality is phenomenal, staff is wonderful and clearly takes pride in the product they put out.

So happy my best friend let me know about this delicious pizza. I can’t believe I’ve lived here all these years and didn’t realize that this place was a mile away. I’m a creature of habit so my usual place is good so I never thought to go somewhere else. I know my friend loves A&S pork store and I just asked where she gets her pizza. Anyway 5 stars. Wonderful delicious ;). Good food is so important in this insane world lately!!

This spot was just what I was looking for. Coming from the East coast, it can be hard to find a slice that that hits the spot the way it does back home. I went two days in a row, first night I got a slice of margarita, pepperoni, and regular cheese. The next day I got a stuffed meat lovers (which was on their rotation so it wasn't a choice the day before, but that's one of the reasons I loved it cause there was a new option!) Both times everyone working was super sweet, prompt, and the whole thing was affordable. Plus they had San Pellegrino soda, which to me is a staple of the pizza

I believe this is the first time I've eaten here. I think Ive come in before and said "eh" and didn't get anything. They bake the pizzas ahead of time and you can get just a slice of pizza which is nice because it's not very common here. You can of course order other things besides pizza and can order full pizzas ahead of time and they cook it fresh.
I got a slice of margarita and a small salad. The pizza was just "OK". I didn't think it had much flavor, just two pieces of fresh mozzarella. The crust was tough on the end.

I cannot say enough positive things about Saverio‘s Pizza. From the staff to the food the entire experience is always top notch. Emily and Sam have created a little slice of heaven in Massapequa. If you haven’t been I highly recommend you rush over to Saverio‘s and grab a pie out on the Piazza or if you’re in a rush take some home, you won’t be disappointed.

One of the best cheese pizzas I've ever had. Definitely worth visiting if you're in Anchorage. The pizza had the perfect dough:cheese:sauce ratio. Sauce was great and the pizza was excellent. Easy online ordering for pick up. Staff were nice. They also had a number of different pizzas available by the slice. Plenty of parking. The main entrance has other shops and the door to the restaurant is inside the common door. Glad I checked this place out during my visit.

This place is AMAZING!! Today we wanted pizza for lunch before hitting the road to go fishing & stopped at Saverio's for lunch, the place was super clean & customers were enjoying their food. Went to the window where you can order pizza by the slice & boy do they have a selection to choose from. Nice large slices that vary on price, I believe 3.50-6.95. At 1st I ordered 1 slice then my husband ordered 2 then I'm like what the heck so I ordered 1 more.. I can always take it to go. I got the combination which was mushrooms pepperoni & sausage & it was the best slice

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. I order from here at least twice a month. They have been my absolute go-to for pizza and I haven't looked back ! Everything on their menu is to die for, but I just cannot get over their classic pepperoni and caprese salad yummmmm!! The owner is from Naples and he is back there hustling every order / every day. I appreciate the authenticity, the great customer service and the always amazing food. You will not be disappointed if you eat here !

Heard a lot of good things about this place and finally had the chance to try it out and I was very impressed with the pizza! Probably one of the best Neapolitan style pizzas I’ve had. Had the Saverio’s Margarita and the Meatball and ricotta on a white pie and added mikes hot honey both were so delicious fresh ingredients from the mozzarella to the sauce everything tasted great definitely will be coming back!

Mmmmmmmm. They have mastered the sauce- cheese- crust ratio here. The crust was very flavorful.
Friendly service, clean facility, delicious food.
You can order a whole pie or buy it by the slice- nice for our family of 4 with different favorites. I got a slice of margherita and a slice of the bruschetta appetizer. Both were wonderful paired with my blood orange San Pellegrino.

Very nice little quaint spot in a small strip mall. Friendly as could be. The pizza was perfectly cooked with a fair amount of toppings and perfect amount of cheese. The crust was the best. Perfect amount of ticketed with the right amount of chew. Outstanding dough recipe. Their sauce was not too spicy but tasty and clearly homemade.
I'd go back here in a heartbeat. They also sell slices for lunch/dinner or a quick snack

Move over ALL AK pizza places!!!!! THIS is the best place to go when you're craving some delicious pizza. Go for a slice or an entire pizza (Warning: going for just one slice, know you'll go again VERY soon). As you can see in my picture I didn't make it home before dove in lol I COULDN'T take the wonderful smell. The pie has a thin crust which I prefer and the margharita is my absolute favorite. The sauce is like no other sauce I've ever had. I usually can't handle the acid in a red sauce but this is so different. You must go!

We ordered an 18" Saverio's Special pizza and it was definitely special. The crust is thin and flimsy but this isn't a bad thing when that's the exact pizza you're looking for. We seriously looked at the pictures of all the local pizza places to find a thin Brooklyn type of pizza and the crust on this one was perfect for the craving. The toppings were fantastic and everyone at the shop was very friendly. We will definitely be going back. I will say this place isn't cheap, but the quality is worth the cost.

Came here from Locust Valley on the North Shore because I heard it was the best and most accurate Neapolitan Pizza on the island. Well I have been to Napoli and thought nothing could come close to the taste experienced there but THIS DID!!
Amazing pizza, so fresh, so thin. The sauce is ridiculous and the cheese is beyond that. We bought 3 pies and ate them all between the two of us. Love the picture of the Saverio's on the box too!

Best Napoletana Pizza around in the US. A must dine..Everythi g from the mom pie to the pequa deep dish is addictive. Emily and Saverio are one of a kind, and great people.
The pizzerias Saverio & Sebastian are one of the best, the staff is always on point.

I tried this place for the first time today and man, I wish I had tried it sooner! I meant to take a picture, but it was so delicious I forgot. I didn't think you'd want to see a half eaten piece of pizza...
The sauce tasted so fresh and herby, I loved it. I got the pepperoni pizza, but have already decided to get the meatballs and garlic knots next time. I have a feeling everything is good here.
I ordered online and picked up the pizza. They were really friendly and quick to have my order ready. I can definitely see myself going back often!

The portions are massive and the price is way lower compared to most of Anchorage.
Mom and pop shop hidden next to the Trek bike store.
The garlic knots are so so so good!
I usually order the calzone which lasts me my meal +2 more days of leftovers!
We also get the pastrami which is super good!
All homemade bread in house, super friendly service!

So I'm not a fan of the food in Alaska in general. There's not a go to, must have, favorite. Until now!!
The pizza is absolutely as good as it looks in photos. Better. Closest to a NY style pizza here.
Also tried the manicotti. That's the only reason they didn't get 5 stars. It good but the noodles are pretty thick and a little chewy. Not awful but not 5 stars.
Had to do take out because of C19. Can't wait to dine in. I'll be back!!

I think my search is over--I found my favorite pizza in Anchorage. I originally saw this place when going to Wild Scoops. Saverio is my grandfather's name so it caught my attention. Once I came on yelp to read what others had to say I knew it was a must visit. Full disclosure, I am not a big fan of California/west coast style pizza so I am not on the Moose's Tooth bandwagon. California style is fine once in a while, but it's not my idea of true pizza. With California style the focus is on the toppings, and crazy flavor combinations. If you love California style pizza this place

My first time here, amazing! I am a pizza lunatic and this is truly a mandatory for anyone. Especially pizza nuts. Mom's sauce is the best. But the D.O.P. is damn good too. Pretty interesting sitting in the middle of an Italian pork store/ butcher shop and having the best pizza in the country, but hey whatever. Gotta get back to eating it now.
