Our school was formed after suffering the devastating loss of our founder, Grand Master Clarence E. West. He passed away suddenly, in November of 2008, in a fire that consumed our karate school in Wintersville, OH. His death was an unexpected shock felt by his students and our community as a whole.
Master West was a beloved teacher and respected businessman who was widely recognized for his unending generosity, self-discipline, boisterous personality and his colorful tuxedos and fedoras. In appreciation for tremendous impact he has had on so many lives, we continue share his legacy by carrying on his Martial Arts System, Wae Kune Do.
