Sigler Guide Service
Randy has been fishing the local waters recreationally and commercially for over 30 years. He has taught 8th grade science in Marblehead, and for the last 25 years he has operated Sigler Guide Service, a saltwater flyfishing and light tackle guide service in Marblehead.

The combination of backgrounds in teaching and fishing, a true passion for sharing all that he knows and sees, as well as a degree in Natural Resource Studies, create a perfect foundation to lead a safe, fun, and truly memorable experience.Laurel had always been more into fitness and competitive sports, but then was captured by Randy's charm, humor, and damn good looks.

Our Boats
Report
Captain Randy Sigler's boat, a 24' Everglades, is Marblehead's answer to the Florida flats boat. It is light and nimble enough to get right into the rocks, yet seaworthy enough to handle the 3-4' chop we sometimes fish in, and fast enough to get us offshore in a hurry. This is a fantastic fishing boat designed for near shore waters and rough seas alike, with plenty of power and seaworthiness.
The Fish We Catch
Report
The following is a brief description of the species that we fish for, as well as some of the techniques that we use. It is by no means a complete list of what we might run into, but in general, this is what we can chase. We also maintain a recreational lobster license, so if you are interested in seeing how lobsters are fished, make a point to ask.
Trips and Rates
Report
Inshore trips typically target Striped Bass using light spinning and fly tackle. Other species available on inshore trips include bluefish, cod, flounder, mackerel and pollock. Since we are rarely more than 10 minutes from fishing, the majority of the trips we run June - September are 4 hour inshore trips.
Pick-up Locations
Report
Parking: There are about 20 parking spots in the lot right at State St. The signs say "Two Hour Parking", but it is not enforced, so if you find a spot there, grab it. If those spots are all full, you could simply hover for a few minutes, and it is likely that one will open up. If that doesn't work, there are numerous on-street spots in the area, you just need to pull a Derek Zoolander, and keep turning left.
Reviews & Testimonials
Report
Randy Sigler out of Marblehead, MA is the personification of what every captain should strive to be.intelligent, personable, prepared, hard-working and most importantly he delivers. I have had the privilege of fishing with great guides in Florida, the Carolinas, the Caribbean, the Arctic and up and down the West Coast, but none have come close to the experience that Randy offers.
