Meyer Pediatrics is dedicated to making your children happier and healthier little people. We offer a morning walk-in hour, weekend hours, 24-hour on-call support, same-day scheduling on all sick appointments, as well as other services such as school/sport physicals, wellness checkups, flu shots, immunizations, lactation consultation, and more.
We serve patients from birth to 21 years, and accept a wide variety of insurances. Whether you are local or visitors from out-of-town, we're here for you! Weekday mornings, we offer a "walk-in" hour from 7:30 am to 8:15 am where appointments are not required. The walk-in hour is for established patients and routine sick visits only.

Dr. Ted Meyer, MD, FAAP is Board-Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, he earned a BS in Biology from Emory University (1977), a MD from Vanderbilt University (1981), completed a Pediatrics Residency at USF/Tampa General (1984), and then moved to Sarasota and assumed the practice of F. Edwards Rushton, MD.

Please note that no HMO is "better" than another, it is simply a matter of assignment. Further, it is important that you contact your HMO and request that Meyer Pediatrics/Ted L. Meyer be assigned as your PCP or primary care provider. Be sure to check that your insurance card has our office name on it.
