Novato Parents Nursery School is a co-operative Novato preschool. Parents and teachers work together to create a love of learning through both structured and unstructured play experiences. Families at NPNS build a community and friendships that last through preschool. At NPNS children learn and gain confidence through play-based experiences.
With a MA in Early Childhood Education, Teacher 'Lissa has created a wonderful learning experience where students ages 2.5 to 5 learn and play together. Our toddler program Little Explorers is an opportunity for your 18 month to 2.5 year old to explore learning with friends. Our teacher facilitates preschool activites that allow your toddler to learn and play side by side with peers.

Parents and teachers work together to provide a stimulating and creative environment that encourages the development of each child's love of learning through both structured and unstructured play experiences. Taking from the best of the early childhood educators and teaching methods, we are child-centered and play-based.
Preschool

Our preschool program runs 9am - 12pm, Monday thru Friday, with the optional addition of an extended-care program (Lunch Bunch). We offer programs with 1 to 5 days of attendance, with flexibility as to which days your child attends, depending on space and availability. Enrollment is limited to 24 children in the classroom, with a child-to-adult ratio of 5:1.

The cooperative framework serves as a supportive resource for parents as they guide their children through the experience of early childhood. It also provides a unique experience for families who wish to be involved in these first years of their child's life and to learn alongside with them.
By sharing the highs and lows of this magical time, parents gain a sense of community with those around them and come to a greater understanding of their child.At least one member from each family is required to attend the monthly general membership meeting, these meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 7 pm - 9 pm.
