MVNS is a parent participation cooperative school that inspires families to explore education together. Mill Valley Nursery School was established as a cooperative nursery school in 1941 by six Mill Valley mothers. The school grew and in 1967 it moved to its present location at 51 Shell Road. The membership acquired the building and property and continues to manage it as part of the school cooperative.
Our Director
Report
Cathy Davis has been our Director since 1993 and brings over 20 years of active teaching experience to MVNS. Cathy is particularly well qualified to teach at the Mill Valley Nursery School. As a child, she herself attended the San Mateo cooperative nursery school. From age 5, Cathy attended the Mill Valley public school system and she is a graduate from Tamalpais High School.
