I'm Christina Sainato, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Registered Dietitian, and mother of two children. Feeding kids isn't easy! I know, because I've struggled myself with breastfeeding complications, and we've certainly had our own mealtime challenges. My personal experiences have given me a deep compassion and understanding for my clients.
I have worked with hundreds of families over the years to help mothers breastfeed successfully, to solve nutritional challenges, and to make family mealtime pleasant and stress-free. I will take the time to listen to your concerns, needs and goals. My approach is gentle, and I will never pressure you to feed your child in a way that doesn't feel right to you.

All in-person services are conducted in the comfort and safetly of your home. I am available in the purple highlighted areas on this map showing my service area. No additional travel fee is applied in the darker shaded area. In the lighter area, a travel fee of $50 will be applied and appointment availability may be more limited.

Your lactation visit may be covered by insurance! If you have a PPO plan with Blue Shield, Blue Cross, Cigna, or United Healthcare, you may be eligible for a consultation with me at no out-of-pocket cost through Lactation Network. Insurance will not cover any applicable travel fees for home visit. I have been providing virtual care since the start of the pandemic with great results.

I am currently working on establishing an office in Rockville, but at this time only in-home and virtual visits are available. For a number of reasons, particularly hospital policies and insurance reimbursement, I do not visit clients during their hospital stay. If we work together during your pregnancy, I make it a priority to be available as soon as possible after you get home with your newborn.
