About
Dr. Paul Yoo is a "local boy" from Oahu. He is married to Janie Yoo, an ophthalmologist from California, and is the father of three beautiful children. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry.
Our Team
Christine moved to Kauai from San Diego, where she spent over 20 years in the dental field - starting as a registered dental assistant, moving on to surgical assisting, then office administration, and finally as a technical advisor for a dental implant company. She has a passion for her field which comes across in every way.
Crowns
A dental crown is a common method of reinforcing a damaged tooth, hopefully preventing further damage or even tooth loss. When a large structure of a tooth has been damaged, usually from decay or accident, Dr. Yoo may recommend a crown. The crown covers the visible area of the tooth - everything above the gumline.
Dentures
If you have dentures, you know they can be an excellent option for tooth replacement. However, dentures that are ill-fitting or prone to slippage are not only irritating, they can also harm your mouth. Damaged or worn-down dentures may keep you from eating what you like and can be a source of social embarrassment.
Emergency Care
For some, dental pain can be severe enough to make a grown man cry. Dental pain or trauma never calls ahead. They never schedule an appointment days in advance or let you know when they are going to appear. We understand this at Kauai Dental Studio. That is why Dr. Yoo reserves time every business day to handle dental emergencies.
