Premier Gymnastics Training for Children in Los Alamos
Founded in 1976, Los Alamos School of Gymnastics has dedicated over four decades to nurturing children through the transformative power of gymnastics. As a non-profit 501c3 organization since 1984, we prioritize holistic child development over mere sport instruction, fostering competitive excellence and progressive skill-building. Our programs, led by experienced coaches like Loui Janecky with 40 years of leadership, combine technical precision with fun, creating a family-centric environment. We pioneered New Mexico's Xcel competition track, accommodating diverse skill levels and supporting smaller communities. Beyond gymnastics, we offer recreational activities, after-school care, and summer camps integrating sports, education, and local cultural experiences. Our facility, established in 1981 through community fundraising, remains a hub for Northern New Mexico's youth. With a legacy of sending athletes to state and national competitions, we maintain rigorous safety standards through USA Gymnastics certifications. Our team includes specialists like Dr. Miles Beaux, whose unique coaching approach blends physics expertise and Olympic mentorship. We emphasize mental resilience, physical coordination, and lifelong character development, serving generations of families in a supportive, inclusive atmosphere. Our commitment to quality is reflected in decades of community trust and intergenerational participation.

We have been a part of this gym for the past 7 years. I can't say enough about the director, coaches and volunteers that run this gymnasium. We appreciate the structured approach to coaching and self discipline. The coaches have a no nonsense approach that motivates their athletes to rise to the challenge. They offer after school care and a summer sports camp that are also very good. They fill up quick, so if you're interested call early.

We had my 4yr old's birthday party here, and the experience was mixed. Unfortunately, the rules were not communicated well and one parent got chewed out for being on the floor after they originally told us we could be. The way this was handled was very unprofessional, and it was a bad look in front of the kids to have a parent getting yelled at. If they have a rule about parents being on the floor, they should state this rule before yelling at a parent. The floor time was cut short by about ~20min, as no one told us there was a hard stop at the 60 min mark (we reserved 120 min). A number of folks

LOVE LASG! We are so lucky to have a full size gymnastics gym in our small town! AND to have competitive gymnastics, recreational programs, and summer/day camps for both boys and girls! Both my daughter and son have grown up as gymnasts at LASG. It has been a fantastic experience for them, and a valuable resource for me--thank you Loui!
