Athletics Director
Jen Castle has over 17 years of experience teaching Waldorf students and has served Linden since 2005. She teaches Movement to grades 1-8 and coaches cross country, archery, and track. As Athletics Director, she strengthens and expands the athletics program.

Oh to be a parent teaching a high schooler how to write an essay after years of no writing, dictation only, if you are lucky enough to have one of the teachers that actually teaches dictation - this is the joy of Linden. Knowing that your child never finished wood working projects, has had 2 years of math tutoring due to huge math gaps from LWS, cannot write an essay, spell or use proper grammar and punctuation in writing - even more joy. Our student walked into high school not knowing any fundamentals of science, and unless students were lucky enough to have a visiting physics teacher, none of

I am an alumnae of Linden Waldorf School, class of 2016. I was a student from pre-school to 8th grade. Looking back at my last year of high school, I can see how Waldorf education has shaped me into a better person and helped me see the world in a better perspective. I could not recommend this school more for anyone looking for a creative, positive, and family feel school.

My family is new to Linden and its been a fabulous alternative to highly structured school environments that just don't work for kids who are smart and creative but aren't loving turning in worksheet after worksheet and sitting at a desk for 5 hours a day.
Waldorf schools have some pretty hard core ideas on how the mind forms, should be nutured and the importance of arts over technology (put your TVs away and don't even think about giving junior an iPad). I'm not sure I would have been able to appreciate these things in a preK environment which is part of the reason my kids
