There are many reasons to bring your dog to Ruff Ranch for a day, (energetic puppy, bored teen, houseguests, etc). Before introducing a new dog into the play yards, guests over 30 pounds must spend a full day at Ruff Ranch for a three-tier behavior evaluation. New dog guests will be introduced to staff members and their dogs, before finally integrating into a pack in one of eight play yards.

Established in December of 2010 as a home-based small business, Ruff Ranch filled a need for the social dog from day one. As the businesses has expanded, so have our facilities and our staff to accomodate our guests. Ruff Ranch moved up the hill from the owner's home, and currently has eight play-yards, and three indoor sleeping facilities.

Overnight boarding includes 6+ hours of supervised outdoor play time in a social context with other dogs. Night and nap time accommodations are indoors, in a fully climate-controlled facility; your pets are fed and spend the night in individual runs (or with a dog from the same household). Ruff Ranch daycare provides a unique opportunity for our guests to enjoy "dog time" in extensive yards and a social environment.

Ruff Ranch has no breed restrictions, but we do require a day of behavior evaluation before any dog weighing over 30lbs can board with us. This is to ensure the safety of all our guests and staff. We specialize in caring for social dogs in a social setting and do not have the facilities for standard boarding for non social dogs.
