The Basement is a live Escape Room experience. We specialize in unique and thrilling, heavily themed puzzle solving adventures. Our brave guests are locked inside of a story with the goal of discovering clues and unraveling secrets to solve their way to safety. An escape room is an immersive, interactive experience where guests are locked in a room filled with puzzles, clues, and hidden items, with one goal in mind: ESCAPE!

You and your friends have been kidnapped by Edward Tandy -- a cannibalistic serial killer with a fine taste for unique electronics, taxidermy, and of course human flesh. He has created a sick and twisted game of sorts in his deceased mother's home. He hopes to weed out the unintelligent and find those who are worthy of escaping by his late mother's standards.
You've somehow foiled Edward Tandy and escaped The Basement. You've managed to make it out once again after Edward and his assistant placed your sleeping body in The Elevator Shaft. Now things have changed and you're on turf Mr. Tandy never expected you to tread. You've made it into his personal Study.
The Story

In the winter of 1972 Edward was born to Virginia W. Tandy-Winthrop, a retired wartime nurse now working at the local hospital, and James P. Tandy, a coalmine worker in West Orange, New Jersey. On the morning of Edward's 4th birthday, his father was killed in a violent accident that took place in the mines near their small rural home.
