Trouvaille was founded by Annick McIntosh who has been working as a standardized test prep and subject tutor since 2010. With over 7000 hours of online, in-person, and group course teaching experience, Annick is well-versed in how to personalize prep, no matter a student's needs. Her approach to standardized test preparation not only focuses on strategies and concepts but also the mental stamina required to take a lengthy, rigorous exam.
While Annick offers in-person private prep and group courses in Portland, Maine, she also teaches one-on-one programs online to students across the US and world. Annick grew up in the suburbs of Houston, Texas where she played soccer for a competitive club and served as captain of her high school team.

One-on-one sessions are available throughout the year. There are no set packages or required number of sessions. Each student has different needs for prep and Trouvaille recognizes that there is no "one package fits all" when it comes to designing a program for a student. Online prep is available for out-of-area students or Portland-area students who may find commuting to the Portland office for sessions hard to fit into a busy schedule.

The ACT was conceived in 1959 as a competitor to the SAT. While it was predominantly a test required by colleges in the midwest, the ACT has been accepted by all four-year colleges for over a decade. You can take either the SAT or ACT and submit those scores to colleges. Before beginning prep, Trouvaille always recommends a diagnostic SAT and diagnostic ACT so students can compare the content and pacing of the exams.
