My last visit with Dr. Monica Simons was horrendous. From start-to-finish, Dr. Simons's disposition was cold and indignant. She seemed to be more concerned with whether or not I have been seeing another doctor; as if the vicissitudes of life, as well as a global pandemic have somehow only affected her. Dr. Simons was extremely aggressive during my examination which caused me to scream in agonizing pain. Despite my reaction, she offered no apology, explanation and showed absolutely no remorse. This experience is in no way indicative of my previous encounters with Dr. Simons, which is why

Whoa, what happened to this place? they moved from broadway to 5th ave and their few offices within the nice building are tiny. the staff (schedulers, nurses, and doctors) have poor customer service skills. and they refuse to do telephone calls. they only text or communicate through the patient portal. totally ridiculous.

I have been a patient in this practice for many years. I was happy with the service while they were at the old location on Broadway. There were often long waits but other than that reception was helpful, doctors and nurses made you feel at ease and the facilities were nice. The move to 5th Ave has ruined this practice. The lack of a front desk is absolutely horrific. In the email they sent with their new phone number TO TEXT ONLY it was missing a digit. So when I messaged I was running late for an appointment they never got my message. Their virtual chart system is glitchy and doesnt always

If you're looking for a female misogynist as a gynecologist, this is your place. Literally, the most disgraceful and disrespectful doctor patient experience I've ever had. They don't care about your health or wellness, you're just a number to them. When I complained about the treatment I received, they literally erased all my files and wouldn't provide medical records for new doctors, even though they suggested I have surgery. I wouldn't trust these people with my reproductive health if they were the last doctor on earth. But luckily they're not and we as women

I had to come in due to discomfort and pain for several cycles with my IUD and asked several questions about my health at the beginning of my visit- first of all, both the nurse I saw and the NP were very curt and kept pushing my not removing the IUD, which I found odd.
Zero bedside manner, which generally I find helpful when someone is inspecting my genitals. Did not explain what she was doing and why. Did not answer any of my questions about my options/ the discomfort I'm feeling generally- and I know a lot of doctor's offices try to speed things along to make sure to stick to schedule
