My name is Maureen Hill and I've been in the grooming business for over 36 years. I've always loved animals. Animals have always been a part of my life. I'm an artist as well. Grooming is a combination of both art and animals.
I kind of fell into the grooming business - after graduating from high school I attended Center for Creative Studies majoring in Graphic Communication, while at the same time I worked part time at an exotic pet shop; House of Pets in Garden City, MI.I loved working with the animals as much as the art.

Most of the smaller popular breeds take only an hour - examples: *Bichons, *Poodles, *Shih Tzus, Yorkie, Terriers, Maltese, Sm Mixes etc. Some dogs take longer than an hour - examples: Cockers, Springers, Goldens usually take an "average" of 1 hour 20 minutes "DEPENDING ON CONDITION OF COAT" and other variables: age, attitude, health problems etc.
