Services
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy at Modern Sports Physio focuses on restoring mobility and reducing pain through personalized treatment plans. Our physiotherapists use manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities like dry needling to address musculoskeletal conditions. Patients benefit from one-on-one sessions tailored to their specific injuries or chronic conditions, ensuring targeted care. The service emphasizes evidence-based practices to accelerate recovery and prevent future injuries, making it ideal for athletes and individuals seeking active rehabilitation. With bilingual support and a focus on patient education, we empower clients to maintain long-term wellness.
Sports Injuries
Specialized sports injury rehabilitation targets athletes' unique needs, combining manual therapy, dry needling, and sport-specific exercises. Our team addresses common injuries like sprains, ligament tears, and overuse conditions, prioritizing rapid recovery without compromising safety. Treatment plans incorporate biomechanical assessments to correct imbalances and prevent re-injury. We work closely with patients to modify activities during healing, ensuring they stay engaged in their sport. This approach minimizes downtime while optimizing performance outcomes for recreational and competitive athletes alike.
Dry Needling
Dry needling involves inserting fine needles into trigger points to alleviate muscle tension and promote healing. This technique effectively treats chronic pain, sports injuries, and postural imbalances by stimulating blood flow and releasing tight muscle bands. Our certified physiotherapists integrate dry needling with other therapies for comprehensive pain management. Patients experience reduced inflammation, improved range of motion, and accelerated recovery. The service is particularly beneficial for conditions like tendonitis, headaches, and myofascial pain syndromes when conventional methods prove insufficient.
Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
Post-surgical rehabilitation programs restore strength and mobility after orthopedic procedures. Our physiotherapists develop phased treatment plans starting with gentle mobilization and progressing to functional exercises. Techniques include scar tissue management, joint mobilization, and progressive resistance training tailored to surgical protocols. We collaborate with surgeons to ensure safe recovery timelines while addressing pain and swelling. Patients receive home exercise programs to complement clinic sessions, ensuring continuity of care and optimal long-term outcomes following procedures like joint replacements or ligament repairs.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate healing in chronic musculoskeletal conditions. This non-invasive treatment accelerates tissue repair and reduces pain for conditions like plantar fasciitis, calcific tendinitis, and chronic tendon injuries. Our clinic employs state-of-the-art equipment to deliver targeted waves that improve blood circulation and break down calcifications. Sessions are brief and typically require 3-5 treatments for lasting results. Patients benefit from rapid pain relief and improved function without medication or surgical intervention, making it ideal for stubborn injuries resistant to conventional therapies.

Very knowledgeable, and has helped me a great deal since our beginnings. I would recommend his kin services to anyone wanting to rehabilitate. Due to a past brain injury, physical fitness has proven to be slightly difficult at times. He has helped me understand the mechanics behind my movements to prevent further injuries and has addressed residual weaknesses to correct imbalances.
