Services
Custom Splints
Report
We construct custom static and dynamic splints made of high and low temperature thermoplast as well as soft materials. We also provide many over the counter splints. They are used post operatively to protect or used to treat muscle weakness or joint conditions and may prevent deformity and help substitute for lost muscle power.
Orthotics
Report
We offer a wide variety of products including custom orthotics and our over the counter orthotics. Our staff has the knowledge and ability to create custom orthotics to fit your foot. Our OTC (over the counter) orthotics are made to fit common foot types at a competitive price.

They can be used as a temporary solution for children who are rapidly growing or as a "first" step for any age to provide relief before receiving a more corrective support.
Recovery Sandals
Report
We are the only vendor in Humboldt County that supplies OOFOS, a recovery sandal. We offer them in a slide style and a flip flop style. They are soft and have a nice arch support to help those who have any type of foot pain or just want to have a comfortable sandal to wear. These sandals are great for inside and around the house or as a slipper.
Back Therapy
Report
We offer a comprehensive back evaluation and treatment including lower extremity stretching and core strengthening to improve stability and flexibility. Proper body mechanics training. Modalities such as electrical stimulation, infrared light, and ultrasound are used to increase blood flow and speed up healing.
Lower Body Therapy
Report
Occupational Therapist's work on the lower extremity to improve function post-surgery or injury. The providers at HHFT have specialized training above and beyond general OT training in order to specifically treat all of the lower extremity including low back, hip, knees, ankles, and the foot.

We utilize hands on techniques, orthotics, braces, exercises, and clinical modalities to resolve pain and edema and restore function to individuals so that they can return to normal activities of daily living.
