At Makoto Kai Judo, we strive to empower students to tackle challenges and take on new experiences. Below you'll find the information you need about our classes, our team, and or our methodology. Makoto Kai Judo was formed by students and instructors from the former Ogden Judo School, with the sole purpose of spreading our love and appreciation for all aspects of Judo.
Makoto is one of the seven principles of Bushido, which was the code of honor and morals developed by the Japanese samurai. Makoto literally means sincerity or a true heart, free from falsehood. Ancient samurai took this to mean doing the right thing at the right time regardless of living or dying.
