About Us
Report
D'Ambrosio Eye Care was founded in 1984 to serve the eye care and eye surgery needs of patients from throughout greater Boston, central and western Massachusetts. Our ophthalmology and optometry practice has worked to develop and maintain a reputation for providing eye care in Massachusetts based on several important core values and principles.
Doctors
Report
The eye doctors at D'Ambrosio Eye Care work together as a team of ophthalmologists, eye surgeons and optometrists who provide primary and specialized eye care. When choosing an eye doctor, especially an eye surgeon for any type of eye surgery, it is important to make an informed choice based on the qualifications, training and experience of your eye doctor.
Eye Exams
Report
Routine eye exams for eye health, vision correction, eyeglasses and contact lenses are provided at D'Ambrosio Eye Care by our team of Ophthalmologists and Optometrists. Regular eye exams for seniors and adults are the best way to prevent eye health problems such as age related macular degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic eye problems from leading to vision loss.
Cataracts
Report
In order for you to have clear vision, light must be able to pass through the optical structures of your eyes and focus properly on the retina.

The two primary structures that are responsible for refracting, or bending light so that it can focus properly on the back of the eye, are the cornea, which is the outermost clear curved "lens" that is visible when looking at your eye from the side, and the crystalline lens, which is located behind the colored part of the eye, or the iris, and is not directly visible.
Cataract Surgery & Lens Implants
Report
Among seniors and "baby boomers", cataract surgery is one of the safest, most effective, predictable and common operations performed the U.S. More than 2.5 million people have cataract surgery and lens implants each year. At D'Ambrosio Eye Care our cataract patient satisfaction results from the combination of the skill of our cataract surgeons as well as the use of advanced technology and procedures to help achieve the patient goals.
