Routine and Medical Eye Exams
Report
Your eyes are the most important sensory organ you own. They deserve a thorough evaluation when you visit your optometrist, to keep you seeing, feeling, and looking your best. There is a big difference between just getting a glasses prescription and getting a comprehensive eye exam. A comprehensive eye exam includes an evaluation of the eye muscles, neurological responses, vision, eye health, and a dilated eye exam.
Children’s Exams
Report
Did you know that your children should have their first eye screening in the first 12 months? A second exam at 2 years? And then an exam every 2 years? A child's learning is directly affected by their vision. When a child has difficulty seeing their environment clearly, there is a high risk they will become delayed in their development.
Common Vision Definitions
Report
People with Myopia, or near-sightedness, can see things up close but not far away. Myopia occurs when the length of the eye grows too long. When this occurs, light focuses in front of the vision cells in the eye, causing distant objects to become blurred. It is not reversible. Treatment: Myopia can be treated with glasses, contact lenses and specialty Orthokeratology lenses.
