Our story begins in 1988 when the archaeology teams from Thomas Jefferson's Monticello and Poplar Forest sites approached software engineer David Edwards requesting a custom collections management system to manage their sites and artifacts.The system that Dave produced soon became useful to many large archaeological sites in Virginia, including Jamestown Rediscovery, Colonial Williamsburg, and Mount Vernon.
