Services
Preventative Dentistry
We specialize in preventative care through biannual checkups, cleanings, and early intervention. Our pediatric dentists monitor dental development, apply sealants, and educate families on oral hygiene. This service maintains children's dental health while preventing expensive treatments through regular, proactive care for ages 6 months and up.
Restorative Dentistry
Our restorative services address tooth decay using tooth-colored fillings and age-appropriate techniques. We treat cavities in both primary and permanent teeth using child-friendly methods. The service focuses on maintaining dental health while preventing infection spread through safe, comfortable procedures tailored to each child's developmental stage.
Sedation Options
We offer three sedation methods: nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and general anesthesia. These options help anxious children receive necessary dental care safely. The service accommodates patients needing extensive treatment, those with special needs, and very young children through carefully monitored sedation administered by trained specialists.
Emergency Dentistry
Our emergency services address toothaches, knocked-out teeth, fractures, and soft tissue injuries. We provide immediate guidance and care for oral trauma cases. The service includes after-hours protocols for urgent dental issues requiring prompt intervention to preserve dental health and patient safety.
Pediatric Oral Exams
We conduct comprehensive oral evaluations for infants through adolescents. These exams establish proper dental hygiene habits starting at age one. The service detects developmental issues early while creating positive first dental experiences that build lifelong oral care routines through age-appropriate assessments.

We have been going here for years and they have always been great until today. A week ago I and my two children came in for my son’s check up. None of us wore masks. Nothing on the door says anything about masks and no one said a word to us about wearing one. We made sure to social distance and everyone was fine with it. Today upon entering a… different young woman was working the desk and immediately said we needed masks and handed us masks. No greeting. She then proceeded to tell me” you’re going to need to wear the masks.” I told her we have the antibodies so I

The staff was friendly and courteous. They did a fantastic job with my son for his 1st visit and provided the necessary steps needed to address any further challenges in the future. I strongly recommend Dentistry for Children as they really do address the needs for toddlers and children.

I have been happy with the dentists and hygienists and the level of care at the richmond office but am becoming increasingly frustrated with billing. I have not been able to resolve an issue for the past 6 months because of billing information you submitted incorrectly and I cannot get anyone here to deal with this appropriately to resolve it.

Its sad what has happened to this once-excellent dental practice. Lately, the customer service has been very lacking. The receptionist is rude and acts like she hates her job. My son needed a dental procedure which they (Dentistry for Children Richmond KY) told us to go to UK hospital in Lexington to get it done. I asked for a referral to go to UK. May be even a letter of referral. They refused and said I needed to call UK myself and explain to them the procedure. All we wanted was for them to explain to UK about our issue or at least give us a letter explaining the procedure. Anyway when we called
