Fish Trap specializes in exciting Rhode Island inshore and offshore deep sea sportfishing charters. Inshore we catch striped bass (striper), bluefish, tautog (blackfish) and awesome fluke fishing around the always productive Block Island and Watch Hill Reef. Rhode Island also makes a great start point for us to head to the deep sea offshore waters for the sport fishing exhilaration of catching mako shark, yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi and wahoo.

Fish Trap is a 1999 36' Wayne Beal custom deep sea sportfisher. She has an all fiberglass construction repowered in 2014 with a state-of-the-art 500HP FPT N67-500 motor. She has the latest in electronics and back-up electronics. Below decks is a full head and a galley area with a microwave.
The cockpit is spacious with plenty of room for all six anglers along with a large insulated fish box with plenty of storage space to hold the catch of the day.There are 15 rod holders along Fish Trap's gunnels and transom. For your safety there is an eight man SOLAS life raft and a E-PIRB in addition to all required US Coast Guard safety equipment.

Our USCG license only allows us to have six passengers on board whether or not they are fishing. In order to be sure that your requested date is available please contact the captain before paying your deposit or full payment. Our full day inshore trips can be fully customized. For example we may catch striped bass in the early morning and then switch so that you can target fluke and seabass mid-day.
