After you pass Valley View Road (there is no stop sign or stop light at Valley View), you will see an apartment complex called "The Grove.". We are in the building closest to Menchaca, and by the front parking lot, there is a green sign which says, "Suite 202, Rivertree Therapy Services is located up this staircase."

One of the best! She’s very professional, attentive and caring-it’s also very easy to get in touch with her or her assistant (who is terrific as well!), even on weekends and holidays. A tremendous source of support and guidance to my overall well-being, and I highly recommend her!

I have been seeing Dr. Benton for over 5 years. She is professional and empathetic. She quickly put me at ease on my first appointment because of her patience and helping me express my thoughts. Dr. Benton gives me high-quality actionable responses to situations/issues. When feeling helpless, her guidance gives me confidence and reassurance.
There have been a couple of times I have needed to reschedule due to medical or family emergencies to which she is understanding and does not charge a fee like so many other medical professionals.
It is correct that Dr. Benton does not take insurance however

I have been with Dr Benton for over six years now. Together we have worked through the major issues that led me to seek her help initially. Even now, after every visit with her, I feel empowered to keep working toward being my best “me”.
Her demeanor is calming. I’ve always felt free to share with her my thoughts/short-comings without hesitation.
In the past I had ‘been seen’ by other providers. This was always short-lived. The exact ‘whys’ of my discontinent were never clear to me. But I am clear on the fact that Dr Benton has set herself apart as a truly attentive and involved

I have seen Dr. Benton for over three years and I like her because she listens. Dr. Benton is attentive and soft spoken. She allows for quiet pauses and lets you talk; she asks questions and remembers who you are. She does not take insurance because reimbursement is a joke. I have had good doctors who accept insurance and some who do not. I believe her expertise is worth the expense. I have bet my life on her expertise every three months for three years and so far I have been happy and will keep returning until she decides to retire.

For over a year, I drove 3 hours (one way) for appointments just to see Dr. Benton. She has helped me in understanding myself which has strengthened me as a person, as a woman, and as a mother.
Dr. Benton is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, empowering, and is attentive to your individual needs and concerns. She is a steady constant in a sea of unpredictable change.
Dr. Benton is a true healer in the sense that she doesn't fix you. She quietly guides the way as you learn to heal yourself.
(On top of all of that, her office is warm and inviting. She is punctual and always quick to respond to

I've been receiving treatment from Dr. Benton for over 8 years. From my very first visit, I've felt entirely comfortable with her. She is a very thorough, genuine, and compassionate physician.

Since day 1, Dr. Benton took great care to establish a strong foundation of trust with me and fully explain treatment options. And over the years she's taken the time to answer every question with a detailed, human response - she never "speaks down" to her patients or over-complicates.

I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Benton as my psychiatrist, and I could not recommend her more

She's always on time for appointments and is very responsive. I hope she never retires because I think she's the absolute best and I feel very lucky to have found her.

I would recommend Dr. Benton to anyone looking for compassionate care in the Austin area. She makes me feel extremely comfortable and is a wonderful listener. I enjoy all of my visits, and she has helped me immensely since I began seeing her. There is always a level of apprehension when switching doctors, but that quickly went away in the first few moments of my initial appointment with Dr. Benton. I hope I don't have to move again anytime soon as I doubt I would be able to find someone who could meet the level of satisfaction I have currently.

Cynthia Benton is probably the best doctor I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. She is always attentive and really cares for the person not just a paycheck. I've been seeing Cynthia for 5 years now and I can honestly say she has been monumental in my successes in both my personal and professional life. I don't don't now what I'd do without her and I hope I never have to. Thank you Doctor Benton.

Reached out in June for an appointment, but couldn't get in till August. I believe that is absolutely acceptable when the psychiatrist is awesome like Dr. Benton! I have really appreciated her help and recommend her to friends constantly. She is worth the "wait list."

I went to see this Psychiatrists and she was really rude. She has a harsh attitude! She wouldn't even try and listen to me. I think she has horrible bedside manners.

She seemed nice enough, but seemed more comfortable working with folks who prefer to just get a prescription written, with very little diagnosing or even asking relevant questions to better gauge if brain-alterting medicine should even be prescribed. She was too quick to write a prescription, which I'm sure a lot of people prefer, but for those that recognize how expensive this one hour "evaluation" is and for those that actually want to feel "value" from their medical profession and really scrutinize whether they should be on medicine or not, she's probably not the
