Houston Area Driving Schools (C#1715) was established in March of 2002, after Houston Community College decided to close their driver education program. So, Mr. Earnest Weatherford, who was a supervisor and teacher for Houston Community College for seventeen years decided to fulfill one of his personal goals by opening his own driving school. Our school is located in Bellaire Texas at 5959 West Loop South, Suite 190, we are next door to Episcopal High School.

At HADS, our initial classroom training involves establishing that a driver's license is a true privilege, and that an automobile is a potential 5000 pound bullet. We teach that operating a motor vehicle involves potential life-altering decisions each second that elapses. We believe that this is the most important course that can influence a young person's future, as well as the biggest responsibility they will have undertaken to date.

Houston Area Driving Schools Offers Adult Drivers Education Classes designed to help you to obtain a Texas Driver's license. If you are 18-24 years of age, Texas law requires you to take an adult 6 hour permit class in order to obtain your Texas licence. However if you are over the age of 25, our 6 hour class is not mandatory however highly recommended.

Defensive Driving Classes May be taken three times in 12 Month period if court allows for traffic dismissals.
