Dr. Choi was born and raised in Southern California. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Mass Communications from UC Berkeley. After graduation, her inspiration to become an optometrist was sparked when she went on a medical mission trip to Belize. The ability to change people's lives through healthcare motivated her to obtain her doctorate at Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.
