Dr. Surmaty was born and raised in Northern Virginia. Deciding to stay local, he went to our local George Mason University and received his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a concentration in pre-medicine. He then traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to study at the Arizona College of Optometry which is part of the medical school of Midwestern University.
