Leo has been providing a quality Catholic education in a safe, nurturing learning environment to young men from Chicago's South Side neighborhoods since 1926. That's our mission, and we remain as committed to it today as we were when we first opened our doors. For all that has changed in those years, one thing hasn't changed at all: A young man who enrolls at Leo becomes part of the Leo Family.

To make an appointment to take the Leo Make-Up Placement Exam, or to attend a Shadow Day, please call Tracy Crenshaw, Recruiting Coordinator at 773-224-9600 or email tcrenshaw@leohighschool.org. Shadow Days are available throughout the school year, every day that school is in session. Seventh and eighth-graders are welcome to shadow a Leo student and experience classroom activities and student-teacher interaction.

We stress academics first and offer a wide range of courses. Our emphasis is on math, reading and language arts, but we also offer classes in Art, Music, Journalism and Technology. With smaller class sizes, you are guaranteed plenty of individual instruction and attention. Our fully certified faculty is committed to helping you learn as a student and grow as a person.
Tuition, Financial Aid & Scholarships

Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Thanks to the generous support of our alumni and friends, Leo makes financial aid available to all students who qualify for assistance. A young man who wants to attend Leo is never turned away solely for financial reasons. Financial Aid is available on a first come, first serve basis so it is imperative that families register early and apply right away for financial aid.
