Emilio is a senior at Cristo Rey with a love for art and design. After teaching himself about 3D design during quarantine, Emilio wanted to share his passion with other students at Cristo Rey. With the support of several faculty and staff members, the 3D Modeling Club at Cristo Rey was formed. The new club's members - at one point 24! - have been meeting since September.
In this Cristo Rey Q&A, junior Camila V. asks Emilio about starting the club, teaching other students, and trying new things. What inspired you to start the 3D Modeling club at Cristo Rey? My own interest and passion for 3D printing and art inspired me to start the club. Since it can be hard to find likeminded people who share the interest, I wanted to promote art and STEM to my classmates.

About Us
Report
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School provides a Catholic, college preparatory education and professional work experience to students from Spanish-speaking families with limited financial means. The reason for the school's existence is to advance the human and intellectual capacities, as well as the religious and cultural heritage, of the immigrant families it serves.
Our History
Report
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School was founded by the Midwest Jesuits in 1996 to serve the immigrant Latino community of Pilsen and Little Village on the near Southwest side of Chicago. Our school pioneered the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) model for inner-city education that has inspired a national network of 38 schools serving low-income communities across the country.
Service to Others
Report
Cristo Rey's Service Program provides students with opportunities to engage in activities to live out their vocation as "men and women for others." Through the program, we seek to be a resource to the community by sharing our greatest of resources - our students.
Through opportunities for education, direction action, reflection and advocacy, students will make progress toward the goals established by the Grad at Grad statement and grow in commitment to a faith that does justice.

Report
Cristo Rey's continuity of excellence is made possible through the generous support to our Annual Fund by so many members of our Cristo Rey Jesuit community. The Annual Fund supports all aspects of our school: tuition assistance, professional development, academic programs, co-curricular activities, and facility upgrades.
