About Us
Report
At our core identity, we have Judaism based on the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson's vision of education being about building a character, with emphasis on moral and ethical values. Integrated with that is our inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, which is known as the leading best practice around the world since 1963.
Pedagogy
Report
At Mequon Jewish Preschool we believe in "Pedagogy of Relationships". It is a concept that was established by Loris Malaguzzi from Reggio Emilia, Italy. Pedagogy of relationships believes that the relations created among teachers, children and parents will determine the quality of the educational processes of the school.
Our Facility
Report
Our facility fosters our preschoolers' natural thirst for knowledge and fascination with exploring and understanding the world. Our natural materials and environment allow our children to explore their surroundings and learn about the world around them. In the Reggio Approach, the organization of the physical environment is a crucial aspect, and is often referred to as the child's "third teacher".
Testimonials
Report
David and I just read the beautiful birthday book that was so lovingly prepared. We speak so often about how blessed we feel to have become a part of the MJP community and this book is a perfect example as to why we feel this way. The thought that you and the morahs devote to each child and to the school as a whole is truly breathtaking.
