We believe in the power of play and natural learning experiences to help young children gain knowledge and understanding. At our school in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, we offer preschool classes for 2 - 4 year olds ( including K3 & K4). We've realized that our current space cannot support the growth of our organization.
We are actively searching for a new location in the area for our preschool that includes the same play-based and outdoor-focused learning environments that make Aemilian Preschool what it is today. During the transition we will not be taking new enrollments.

The Aemilian Preschool started more than 40 years ago as a resource for families who wanted a full day learning environment for their children. Though we've always worked to foster independence and a love of learning in children ages 2-5, we have come a long way since we opened our doors. Our high-quality early childhood program provides developmentally appropriate experiences in a warm, nurturing and safe environment.
Faculty & Typical Schedule

Recruiting and retaining a quality staff is one of our top priorities. Teachers are required to have four-year degrees in early childhood education. Assistant teachers are required to have at least the equivalent of an associate degree in education. We are fortunate to have had more than half of our faculty members with The Aemilian Preschool for more than 10 years, including some for more than 20 years!
Play-based Education

Children are learning during all times of the day, whether it be engaging in a story, creating with blocks or noticing the sound of birds outside. Play based education is the idea that young children learn best when given the opportunity to play during age-appropriate activities. Play helps children develop cognitive skills, physical abilities, social skills, and vocabulary and literacy skills.

Wee Start - 2 Yr Olds

Wee Start is the classroom for 2-year-old children. The Wee Start curriculum is designed to enhance the development of each individual child while challenging them to extend their skills and levels of understanding. Children this age fit into a wide range of developmental levels, so we provide many open-ended activities and experiences.
