When purchased, the Protection Plan extends the warranty for an additional period. For example, a navigation unit that has a one year manufacturer's warranty would be covered for a total of two years, or one additional year beyond the manufacturer's warranty. If a product failure occurs, the electronics will be "repaired" as long as parts are available for the life of the plan.
Should product ever need to be "replaced" outside of the manufacturer's warranty, the Protection Plan will have deemed to be fulfilled. A new Protection Plan will be offered for purchase should that situation arise. You will not be responsible for any labor associated with "repair" or "replace" events for the life of the plan.
