Music Works Northwest is a non-profit community music school offering music lessons, music therapy and performance experiences for all ages, conveniently located minutes from downtown Bellevue. Our mission is to change lives through accessible music education and experiences. Interested in music lessons for yourself or your child? We also have group classes and ensembles, summer camps, FREE concerts and events, music therapy, and so much more!

Music Works Northwest is a nonprofit community music school, dedicated to changing lives through accessible music education and experiences. Founded in 1966 in Seattle's Central District as the Imperials Drum and Bugle Corp, Music Works relocated to Bellevue in 1999. Each year Music Works provides individual music lessons, music classes, music therapy, summer camps and free concerts to thousands of King County residents.

Our teachers, music therapists and ensemble directors have strong academic credentials and are among the Puget Sound region's most active and sought after performers.

Faculty members have undergraduate and graduate degrees from prestigious institutions including the Juilliard School, the Eastman School of Music, Berklee College of Music, the University of North Texas, the Mozarteum Academy, the Moscow State Conservatory, and the University of Washington.

Our Board of Directors helps us accomplish our mission by driving fundraising initiatives, advocating for Music Works Northwest in the community, and maintaining fiscal stability through financial oversight. The Board of Directors oversees the strategic direction of Music Works Northwest and provides valuable skills, resources and community contacts that help build regional awareness which is so crucial to attracting needed funds.

Music Works Northwest is a music school and community comprised of a wide variety of people. We are diverse in age, passions, cultural background, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, ethnicity, body shape, artistic preferences, physical abilities, and education. As much as we are different, we share a love for music, learning, teaching and skill development.
Private Lessons

Music Works proudly offers 30, 45 and 60 minute music lessons for students of all ages on 21 different instruments and voice. Our faculty members are experienced, diverse, competent, and professional. We are now offering IN-PERSON lessons based on availability but will continue offering ONLINE lessons as well.
