Established in 2011, Meter provides music lessons and classes for all ages and levels. Our goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment for learning an instrument in private lessons or group classes. We believe that fun comes first with weekly music lessons.

Private Lessons

Students at Meter include complete beginners, adults building on childhood study, siblings who want to start a family band, high school students getting ready for a big audition, and budding singer-songwriters. We believe that the right atmosphere, the right teacher, and the right community are the recipe for success on a musical instrument.
Guitar Lessons

We recommend that beginners ages 4-6 start out with ukulele. Our teachers work with students and families to create an individualized program that caters to their goals and learning styles. We want to inspire you to play at home and develop a long-lasting love of music. Call or email us so we can learn more about your musical interests and match you up with a welcoming and supportive guitar teacher.
Group Classes

Weekly classes are recorded and emailed to you each week, and the last class of each month is a live Zoom call with your teacher and classmates! Group class tuition during this time is pay what you can. Regular monthly tuition is $74 per class, and we invite you to participate at any monthly amount that works for you.
Guitar Classes for Kids

Join us and begin learning some simple riffs, open chords, and basic note-reading in this group class! Students work at their own pace through a method book, and are encouraged to suggest favorite songs to be learned in class. A typical class includes individual check-ins, easy ensemble playing, singing, and musical games.
Guitar Classes for Adults
Report
Total beginner on guitar? Join us to start learning basic chords, easy songs, and a little bit of music theory. Bring your guitar and we'll provide tunes and material to try practicing at home. Instructor will cater to individual progress in rhythm and lead playing, and will lead the group in playing as an ensemble.
