Jeffrey T. Cohen, LMHC, has created a revolutionary approach that combines the power of deep feeling with the will to change. IFT is not just talk, and our problems are not just in the mind. IFT doesn't just manage symptoms, it gives you a pathway deep beneath the surface down to where the underlying original breach of trust occurred.
With this skillful guidance, clients will safely explore and feel this, connecting and integrating valuable insights into their adult lives. Integrated Feeling Therapy (IFT) helps clients heal with love, kindness, support, honesty, and cognitive understanding, and helps clients develop effective strategies to live more fulfilled lives.

Overview
Report
Jeff Cohen: My initial training was in primal therapy, from 1981 through 1986. As a practicing therapist, I began seeing both the strengths and weaknesses of the classic model of primal therapy. The main theoretical strength was the concept of the three layers of pain (first, second, and third line pain).
Process
Report
The process includes private therapy and group work, along with intensive work. If the client desires to start with the intensive, and we determine that it is in their best interest, we will try to accommodate them. All sessions can be done either at our office in New York City or via phone or Skype.
Training Program
Report
The IFT Comprehensive Four-Year Training Program provides an in-depth study of the theory and clinical practice of the Integrated Feeling process. All classes are taught by graduates of the program. A prerequisite for entering the training program is a minimum of one year of Integrated Feeling Therapy.
