The Paradigm Jiu - Jitsu Academy is located in the industrial heart of Lowell, Massachusetts. For those on vacation or traveling from other areas we are located less than a half mile from 3 major highways. We also have an abundance of restaurants, hotels and stores within walking distance. I intend to develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that could reduce my mental growth or my physical health. I intend to use what I learn in class constructively and defensively to help myself and others and never to be abusive or offensive. If we were to look up the definition of the word etiquette we would see this - "the customary code of polite behavior in society or among members of a particular profession or group."

There is a wide gap between the management of distance between self-defense and sport techniques. If you were to analyze video footage of any physical altercations that involved Jiu - Jitsu, you would undoubtedly notice a pattern of movements and techniques. These patterns make up the foundational elements, techniques and strategies that our beginner program focuses on.
