Tamar Kipnis is a Licensed Psychoanalyst, a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, a Board Certified Dance Movement Psychotherapist, and a Psychedelic Integration Therapist based in NYC. She worked as the Director of the Institute for Expressive Analysis Consultation Center from 2009-2011 and for many years as the vice president of the Board of Dance Movement Therapy NYC Chapter.
From 1991-2019 Tamar worked at Jacobi/NCBH with people suffering from severe psychiatric issues, and provided clinical supervision for graduate school interns. She is trained in Kestenberg Movement Analysis and incorporates a relational psychoanalytic approach and a neuropsychoanalysis / trauma work into her somatic psychoanalytic practice.
