1st Place winner 2018 halibut Derby! Ashley Camp caught a 221.4lb halibut while fishing with Captain Brian Nollar on the Belle Ile. Camp will receive about $8,500. Homer, Alaska is situated at the southern tip of the Kenai Peninsula, surrounded by beautiful Kachemak Bay and just around the corner from the Gulf of Alaska.

Even though we target halibut it's not uncommon to catch numerous types of Rockfish, Lingcod and salmon at certain times of the year. Every day brings a new adventure. Brian and Jane met in 1995. Jane was deck handing on a charter boat and Brian was running a boat for another company. You could say they both have fishing in there blood. Brian grew up bass fishing in Southern California and the family currently spends their winters fishing on bass tournament circuits at a professional level.
Our Boat
Report
Our boat, the Belle Ile, is a 31' Sportfisherman made by Bertram. We take a maximum of six people. In a report in Soundings Magazine: The 31 has become a benchmark both in terms of seakeeping ability and rugged fiberglass construction. It has a reputation from the start as a boat that will take you out and bring you back.
