Family owned and operated since 1987, the Heritage House Restaurant is Central Maine's premier destination for fine dining. All items on our extensive menu are made fresh to order, and we take pride in the fact that local farmers and food artisans have been coming to our back door since long before "farm-to-table" was a trend.

Our lunch (Tues-Fri) is a popular choice for a quick business lunch or a leisurely gathering of old friends. Attire is casual and choices range from a soup & cold salad ($10.50) to soup, salad, and choice of hot entre with vegetable and starch ($12.00). Our dinner menu features an impressive selection of fine steaks, succulent seafood, and flavorful poultry dishes.

Heritage House founders and owners David & Cheri Savage met in Dallas, Texas, where David was starting his long career in the restaurant business. It was there that they started their first restaurant together, called "Our House." In 1986, they brought their young family back to David's native Skowhegan, where they found David's grandfather's house sitting empty.

All appetizers and entres are made from fresh, local ingredients whenever possible. Entres include generous dinner salad with dressing choice, bread & butter, fresh vegetables, and choice of rice pilaf, mashed potatoes, or baked potato.
