An excellent restaurant with great spirits and wonderful food. The staff treat you like you're royalty, and sitting out on the deck was divine! Well worth the drive out into the country of Wilton, Maine. This restaurant is a "Must Try" destination. Next time, I would like to go for the day, hike up Mount Blue and end my adventure with a treat called, Calzolaio Pasta Company! You won't be disappointed!

We walked in with a party of 4 and were asked if we had a rez. We did not. There was a table open but the hostess (who we later found out was owner) said it may be reserved. Ok. Got it. But can you check?
Shakes head like she's annoyed. We do get sat at table. Now we ask what wine they have. My family had been there night before and had a small list with house wines and wine by bottle. Same Owner says she doesn't have wine list. Not true as our family was handed a menu

We ordered take out on a night that would have been perfect to go out to eat, but alas, pandemic circumstances are keeping us in. We ordered the family pasta meal, which included their amazing bread, was plenty and well priced! All the food was packaged to be ready to eat as soon as we got the food home! So happy they are offering take-out in a contactless manner! Will definitely be ordering again, can't wait to dine in (hopefully) soon.

Food was tasteless. Got the fish n chips, which was prebattered and frozen, then over cooked. Alfredo sauce was basic and bland. Wait time was extended, showed up at the later time and still had to wait 13 minutes longer. Food was just dropped on table and staff ran back in. Only redeeming quality was that food was still hot when we got back, but again, tasteless.

So ready to go back to Calzolaio's!! Of course I will order the Porcini Sachettes which are delicate pouches of porcini mushrooms wrapped in homemade pasta bundles of love all in a great sauce with other fresh veges! Simply put, a party of flavors in your mouth! Be sure to order a nice bottle red of your choice and finish up with the homemade cannolis. My next visit will include taking pics of this perfect meal, while sitting on the deck overlooking the river. Stay tuned for the follow up of this review!!!

Stopped in to try a new place and this little gem is amazing!!!! The service was great- friendly prompt but not overbearing, the food was out of this world.. table of 6 so we had a little of everything from sandwiches to pizza to pasta dishes to seafood and 3 appetizers..and we all shared - the eggplant nachos where fabulous and different... will be back

This restaurant has occupied my list of pending reviews since July 2019, and I am thrilled to finally have time to express my appreciation. Charmingly situated on the side of a festively lit, central, yet largely undisturbed (at least at night) street running along the Wilson Stream, Calzolaio is a haven for those seeking speedy service, plentiful provisions, and a soothing setting.

We visited this past summer while up at our camp, drove about 40 minutes and it was well worth it. I had their pasta special and it was to die for. My daughter had the stuffed shells and she could have eaten so many more they were that good. I definitely recommend the martinis..... especially the Strawberry Rhubarb!!! I wish more places sold them.

Worst service and Italian food I've ever had. We were nearly turned out because we didn't have a reservation. After being refused we had to eat at the bar or go somewhere else and we were from out of town. My lobster claws and linguini in a wine and basil sauce was so awful. No basil and it was like watered down linguini. By the way, it was a huge restaurant with empty tables. Oh, the gentleman next to me had crab cakes and they looked like pancakes and he shook his head and said they were bad. Don't understand the great reviews. It really ruined our evening.

I really can't sing enough the praises of this beautiful restaurant in its unique location in Wilton, ME. After we ordered, my fidgety 8-yr old went to the hostess station to ask for another children's menu to draw on and the proprietor herself offered her her choice of coloring and activity books. Plus endless crayons! And the food. It was delicious. Sophisticated and authentic and AMPLE. We made a second meal out of the leftovers. The drinks were creative and well-crafted too. Our server Seth was professional and attentive and yes he filled my water glass at least 3 times .. .

I had the veal saltimbocca and it was excellent and I am talking by nyc standards.
My wife had the bacon wrapped scallops and all I can say is that too was amazing ... finished it off with their signature blueberry pie and I've gotta say ... I'm

I had a very poor experience with the staff here yesterday.
Perhaps something about my look or appearance was off putting to both the hostess and the waitress as I was ignored twice by both, however one may not always look presentable when grieving the loss of a loved one.
My mother in law had just passed away yesterday morning; my parents called in a mid-sized take out order and paid in advance so that my wife, father in law, and myself could have some food to last a couple of days while we grieve and process our loss.
I walk into the restaurant and patiently and quietly wait to be addressed

Oh Calzolaio what is happening to you? Don't go downhill I beg you! I've always enjoyed your food. But of late it has not been the same caliber and the prices are just as high. If the food isn't as good as the price...need I say more.
I had crab cakes on special and they were just a lot if crabless breading. Another time I had haddock on special. Nice size, but a little over cooked. And the vegetable side was too much like a diner mixed vegetable side :( I expect a nice focus on the sides as well as the main dish. The smoked salmon with pasta was just not good. No one tasted it

Can't believe we found this place, and will definitely be back. Amazing Caprese, tasty Caesar, some of the best meatballs and marinara and crema sauce to die for. Thanks to their staff, we called and were told they were full, called back to ask for the bar, and when we arrived we were told they found a spot for us. Service was the best. Fantastic food, atmosphere and wait service. This is a restaraunt you can take your kids or visit for a romantic dinner. A great wine selection that fits all the italian food selections. This is one of our favorite places to eat and make sure to see Courtney at the bar. I highly recommend reservations especially on the weekend.

This is probably my favorite restaurant in the area. The atmosphere is relaxing, decor is tasty fully done, and the staff is always very friendly. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance as this place is always busy. We have yet to order anything on the menu that we didn't love!! Everything from speciality pizzas, pasta dishes, great salads, etc. They always offer speciality drinks and beers on the menu.
