Florida Keys Flats Fishing
Are you ready to fish the calm, shallow flats of the Florida Keys? Come on down! I'm an amicable and patient guide who will work hard to make your day on the water a success. I have lived and fished in the Keys for over 38 years and have been guiding anglers just like you on the flats of the Florida Keys for over 30 of those years.

Whether you choose to sight fish for bonefish, snook and redfish or giant tarpon, I assure you an enjoyable, interesting and exciting day in the Florida Keys. I can also provide a family fun day if your skills are not as high as your expectations. For the novice fisherman, I'll provide friendly fly fishing or light tackle spinning instruction.

A third angler/rider is $50 additional (if wanting to sightfish ON the shallow flats, three people is not recommended) We will instead fish the slightly deeper channels nearby (still very calm) for sharks, seatrout, jacks and ladyfish. If you've four or more, with a little extra time, I can arrange for a second skiff to accommodate everyone.
Skiffs
Report
We will be fishing from either my 17 Maverick Mirage HPX or 16 Mitzi ST tunnel hull Skiff. They are shallow draft boats especially designed to get into skinny water, quietly and quickly. These skiffs allow me to access spots unavailable to the larger bay boats. If fishing with three or more anglers, give me a little advance warning and I can arrange for a second skiff to fish along w us.
Ladies
Report
Many times I may believe there is a lack of participation by the female companions of some of my anglers due perhaps to a few misconceptions. For the women who may cringe at the sight of blood or smell of bait, (Let me tell you about the man that fainted while we removed a fly hook from my ear), never fear.

Sage flyrods, Tibor and Sage Flyreels. Shimano spinning reels and rods. Maverick and Yamaha. Nothing but the best for my clients. If you plan to bring your own tackle, please discuss it with me. Some of the species we pursue need special attention when choosing your tackle. All rods and reels will be supplied at no cost.
Weather
Report
The Summer: July, August and September can be brutal to anglers not familiar with the tropical climate of the Keys. Although there can be a fresh breeze, It can be very hot. Intense sunlight and temperatures in the mid to high 90's can be very uncomfortable. Fishing is best early in the day. A large brim hat, a sun block and light weight cotton clothing in light colors is a must for those that are sun sensitive.
