Fishing in the local back-country is an exhilarating experience. You will see numerous species of birds (Herons, Egrets, Ibis, Osprey) and an occasional bald eagle. We often see alligators, crocodiles, manatees and porpoises while fishing the local waters. The experience is only heightened by the numerous species of fish that are available to be caught.

Snook - Our local backcountry offers some excellent Snook fishing. The average size is 6 to 8 pounds and 24-32 inches. You will find them around bridges, sea walls mangroves, pilings just about any structure. They eat Mullet, Shrimp, Pilchards, Pinfish and a multitude of artificial lures or combinations of live and dead bait.

Bring drinks, food and snacks. You should also bring a hat, polarized sunglasses, sunblock, and wear long light shirts and light pants. I will provide a cooler with ice. Depending on the weather conditions, it will be up to you whether you want to fish or whether you do not. I do not fish in heavy rain or lighting storms, but I do sometimes fish in windy conditions.
