Dr. Von Hanks grew up in Pocatello, Idaho. After finishing Brigham Young University, where he majored in Zoology, he attended the University of Washington Dental School. He graduated in 1989 with a Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS). He established his practice in Bellingham shortly thereafter. Over the years, he has been active in various dental study clubs and has attended numerous continuing education courses.
