Our mission is to help our patients maintain optimal oral health and to positively impact our patients' comfort, beauty, confidence, and general well-being. We do this by providing personalized and compassionate care, and using a long-term approach. Dr. John Gardiner bought the practice in 1973 from the previous dentist who had been in Fairhaven since the 1940's.

We have a network of highly skilled and compassionate dental specialists and dental laboratories with whom we work very closely. Dr. Burton also partners with a long-time colleague Dr. Wade who is a skilled oral surgeon specializing in placing dental implants. Dr. Wade works out of Newhaven Dental on most Mondays as well as his own office in Burlington the rest of the week.

Accepting New Patients

Optimally a new patient is scheduled with our hygienists for x-rays, cleaning, and then an exam with Dr. Burton. Once we have a complete analysis of your oral health we will present you with a thorough treatment plan. However, we understand that a toothache can be a debilitating experience and are open to scheduling new patient toothaches for same day relief when our schedule permits.
