Anyone residing in our Service Area may ride STAR Transit. Destinations could include job locations, educational facilities, non-emergency medical appointments, senior centers, and career-training facilities.

101 Balch Springs Midtown Express

The Balch Springs Midtown Express Route 101 starts at Wal-Mart and ends at the Peachtree Senior Living Apartments. Riders within our service area may connect to this route using STAR Transit's dial-a-ride service or the STARNow app. Call 877-631-5278 and schedule a ride to the Balch Springs Recreation Center and transfer to the Balch Springs Midtown Express 101 bus.
201 Mesquite COMPASS

STAR Transit connects you to the DART Rail Green Line via COMPASS, City Of Mesquite PASsenger Shuttle. Mesquite COMPASS is weekday express bus service between Mesquite's Hanby Stadium and Lawnview Station and a great way to travel to Dallas & Fort Worth, TX. The first bus leaves Hanby Stadium at 5:02 a.m. and the last bus departs Lawnview Station at 7:38 p.m. Peak period service operates every hour.
401 Hutchins Shuttle

The Hutchins Shuttle Route 401 has 11 stops serving the UNT Dallas Station on the DART Rail Blue line, FedEx Home Delivery (Hutchins), FedEx (Cedardale Rd.), the Hutchins Senior Center, Cedar Valley College and the Hutchins Gateway Apartments. The Hutchins Shuttle is available to the general public, company identification badges are not required to ride.

The app allows riders to book and pay for same day trips in Mesquite, Balch Springs, Kaufman, Terrell and Seagoville. Pick up and drop off points must be inside these zones. Rides are available to the public in and around Kaufman County, Rockwall County, Balch Springs, Mesquite, Seagoville and DeSoto. Our buses are ADA accessible. Our drivers are trained in first aid, CPR and defensive driving to ensure the safety of our riders. Call STAR Transit at least 1 business day but not more than 2 weeks in advance of the desired trip.
