Brainstorm Computers and Technology is a full service computer repair shop - and then some - located in Uptown Kingston, NY. Customers can, for a small hourly fee, use our fully equipped workstations for everything from Internet browsing to complex graphic design. If you are into fixing your own equipment but lack the space or tools we can help.
We provide a quality work environment with access to tool, spare parts and help from our technicians. We also have a 40-Watt Laser Engraver on site that can etch and cut almost any material including wood and acrylic. The project possibilities are endless.

Computer Hardware Upgrades, Repairs and Support

Your computer is made up of many parts, several of which you're already familiar with; the tower, monitor, keyboard, or mouse. Basically it's anything you can physically touch. Being that these items come into constant contact with you, the owner, over time they do suffer a little wear and tear and occasionally need an upgrade, repair or just general support.
Memory & Hardware Upgrade

Memory Upgrades: When a computer runs out of available memory it swaps the data to the hard drive to make room, which decreases performance. More Memory means less hard drive swapping and faster overall performance. We currently recommend that computers using Windows XP have between 1-2GB of memory and Vista/7 systems have between 4-8GB.
Laptop Screen Repair

Physical Damage: It doesn't take much to shatter the glass panel inside an LCD. If there are obvious cracks and sections of the screen that are unreadable then the LCD screen must be replaced. Flickering Screen: Flickering can occur when the wire that connects the motherboard to the LCD becomes frayed/severed.
