Pacific Parallax
Sitka, Alaska is one hour away from what is referred to as the Sitka Sound eddy. The North Pacific Ocean current creates an enormous ocean back-eddy which holds all types of forge fish (bait). The bait fish hold in the eddy; this in turn keeps king and coho salmon running strong all summer long. Sitka born- Alaskan native- Captain Aaron Bean has been fishing the Sitka Sound eddy his entire life.

Trolling the eddy is an experience you'll never forget, and one you'll likely repeat! After epic salmon fishing in the morning, halibut fishing follows. At the best halibut holes they're sure to produce good eating size halibut (20-40lbs), but it's not unlikely much bigger halibut bite! An Alaskan native of Sitka, Captain Aaron Bean has logged a lifetime of commercial, charter and sport fishing on Sitka's waters.

Areas around Cape Edgecumbe and outer Kruzof Island still offer the best opportunity to catch a king salmon year round- although the peak summer season is mid-May though the beginning of August. Nonresident anglers shall immediately record, in ink, all king salmon harvested either on the back of their sportfishing license or on a nontransferable harvest record.
