Efficient ordering and collection but disappointed with the Tom Kha soup as the lemongrass hadnt been trimmed and so was unpleasant. Having said that the Chicken Pad Thai and Massaman curry were delicious as was the egg fried rice

The food was very good; well executed and fresh (although some ingredients listed in the dish were not actually in them). Aside from that, authentic dishes and would return. Service was friendly and speedy.

This was our first time here. Although I had mentioned when booking that it was our first time and that we were celebrating a birthday, there wasnt anything done to make our visit special. I think itd have been a nice touch if this had happened. We were very happy with the food (taste as well as portion sizes - in fact, we had ordered too much and had to take some food back with us). The green curry was my favourite while my wife liked the massaman curry. We were well looked after. Our waitress Ellie listened to our requests regarding vegan food, gave us the allergen menu and despite the

When we first found this restaurant, the food was absolutely amazing but the last few times its been well below standard. Ordered 3 mains and 2 rices which cost over 50. One of the dishes was a prawn rice dish with caramelised pineapple, the pineapple was not caramelised and had clearly come straight out of a tin and there was only 2 prawns in the whole dish also half the veg listed on the online menu was missing. In Other dishes the meat was very fatty

Visited for a 'Rude Elvis' night. Quite a loud event and really good fun - recommended if you get the chance and are comfortable with 1970s humor. Cooking for 40 people was a stretch and probably not a fair test of their food. But a memorable and fun night out

What has happened to the spice merchant ??? The food portions are becoming measured and small we could not believe we had to order extra rice for each main as an extra cost as there was so little given with our mains . We left with a fairly hefty bill and were quite surprised as we ordered normal food and noodles for the kids ... The food was not as good as before. The service was fairly poor and we had to get up from the table several time to go in search of the waitress as we were sitting outside. Feel that The spice merchant is now squeezing margins and price ... time to move on - We are

Having eaten here multiple times, I can say that the food is hit and miss. In my most recent experience, the main course of beef yellow curry was alright whilst the chicken satay starter was tasteless and tough; the sauce that accompanied it also tasted like burnt plastic! Would not recommend.
